Unable to borrow points from 2022 for reservation within 60 Days

Unable to borrow points from 2022 for reservation within 60 Days. Only gives me option to rent. What can the reason be? I VIP Plat.

Do you have empty buckets in the way? I was realigned but they never removed the point buckets. So I could never borrow. Fixing that took a lot of squeaky wheel.

Yes, I believe I have empty buckets. When I select point summary, it shows aligned years ( Jan. - Dec.) & unaligned years I don't use (April - March), these are what you refer to as " empty buckets "?

Yes, I believe I have empty buckets. When I select point summary, it shows aligned years ( Jan. - Dec.) & unaligned years I don't use (April - March), these are what you refer to as " empty buckets "?

If it's showing a now non existent use year as the next use year that will block you from borrowing the coming use year that actually has the points.

Example: All the points now have a January 1 use year but the former use year on one of the contracts that was realigned is July 1. Even though it no longer exists nor has points for that use year if it's still showing the system will see it as your next available use year with no points available to borrow. To get this fixed Owner Care will have to assign a case number and put in a ticket with IT to get it removed so you're not blocked. It will happen again next year too if it doesn't get fixed. After two years I'm told it drops off on its own. Owner Care can make reservations for you in the meantime.

It took a couple of months to get our account fixed last year. You would think this would be automatically taken care of when they realign your use year. Clearly having our accounts function as they should isn't a priority with Wyndham.

Do you have email or name of specific representative that helped you regarding this issue?

I wish I did but no. It was reassigned to a different person more than once in the several months it took to get it done. I had to call to have them cancel a reservation they'd made for me and asked if they could put the points back into this use year so I didn't have to keep calling in to have them borrow points to make reservations for me. They were able to do that and they even gave me some goodwill points to make up for the inconvenience of having to call in to make and cancel reservations. I appreciated them doing that.
