Ukulele Christmas Jam in Kaunakakai

My wife's Monday Ukulele group had a Christmas Jam today. There were close to 30 Ukulele players there today. Here are some pictures and I'll post a couple videos later. The first picture is my wife Kim with her teacher Kaleo.

But I’d go just to listen. When it was 40 or 50 years old and had been sitting in its plastic case unused for 30 years, my ukulele came unglued, so I tossed it.

Kim had her last Christmas Concert of the year today at the Malama Molokai Wellness Center. They have a sale there with vendors the second Saturday of every month.

Here's some pictures and videos will follow. She really loves playing with this group. Today she said how great this last year has been since her surgery. She said she never would have guessed she would have been able to play in this group a year ago. It's something she has always wanted to do if we ever moved to Hawaii.

Yes, she loves playing. The group had a good crowd for today's event too. They were both a great time.

About 15 years, during a visit to Molokai, we went to Hotel Molokai on Friday night for the community ukulele and hula get-together. It was a lot of fun.

I can see that this session was a bigger event.

I can see that this session was a bigger event.

The Hotel Molokai always has live entertainment but they stopped the Ukulele/Hula session years ago. I never heard why it stopped. I'll have to ask around, I'm really curious now.

Thanks for posting this Slip, I really enjoyed the ukulele concert. It is so nice that your wife is being able to really enjoy life again.

The male hula dancer accompanying one of the songs seems particularly good. He is so smooth and graceful. Beautiful.
