UAL dining certificates???

I was surprised to find that for 2K miles I could get 4-$25 dining certificates for one of my favorite restaraunts. \\
any one use them and how do they work?

They work fine BUT why would you do it? 2000 miles is nominally worth $40. These certificates sell for $10 each but everyone knows that they go for $3-$4 each on sale every month. On 08/08/08 and a couple days after they were $2 each! (The ONLY reason to do this would be to update FF account activity.)
