Two knobs or one on bathroom sinks

My next house will have single knobs when there is no hot water connected to it. I still like double knobs to control hot and cold because the water heater will be tankless. Less accidental start ups.

I like 1 knob ... but will agree with am1 (above post) if I had a tankless HW heater. I would adapt ... one knob is sort of being lazy.

Folks, you may not have noticed but this is a thread from 2015 that was resurrected by a poster making their first post ever. -- not that there's anything wrong with that.

I just want what's more efficient and productive. (Plus single faucets look just fine.)
It's not a biggie, really, but slightly an irritant to adjust left and right faucets to get the acceptable water temp. Why not just have one control lever for the perfect temp?

If you get new granite or quartz, one handle and one hole is faster and easier to install. Your installer might not give you a break on the price, but he will be happy that he only had to drill one hole. We installed one handle in all bathrooms and both kitchens and love it.
