We have previously stayed at SeaWorld and Parc Soleil when travelling to Orlando. This year there will be a 7 of us (including four 17 year-olds and a 10 year-old) and we have decided to try out Tuscany. We are not mouse people but are planning to go to Universal, SeaWorld and Aquatica parks while we are there. Quite familiar with SeaWorld and Aquatica from prior stays.

One of my older sons has a physical disability. He can get around on flat solid ground but uses a walker for longer walks and uneven surfaces.

I am looking at the Tuscany resort map and wondering what building to request. We are getting a a 3bdrm lockoff. Does each building have elevators or are there stairs? I would like to get my request in early with the resort and given that we have not stayed at that location before I would like members thoughts on the layout. It is unclear to me if it is better to be near the main pool or across the lake. I can see benefits to either location. I presume that there is parking all around the perimeter road?

Please let me know what you like and dislike about the Tuscany layout.

If you are booking a 3 bedroom, you will be limited to buildings 1,2 and 7. We were in the 3 bedroom in building 2. We had an elevator (I believe all of the buildings do). As far as building preference, that will depend on what you want to do while on site. If you want to use the pools (the main pool is closest to all 3) I would suggest Buildins 1 or 2. We loved Building 2 as it was a little more private than Building 1. Building one overlooks the main pool and seems like it could get a bit noisy. As a family, we loved the smaller pool on the other end of the property (between buildings 4 and 5). If you want to go to the outlet mall connected to the property more than the pool, then Building 7 would be your best bet. There is parking on the back sides of each building. One note, the 3 bedrooms are on the end of the buildings and the elevators are in the center.

The rooms are huge. We really enjoyed our stay and if we wanted to do the parks again (maybe when the Star Wars Park opens), we would have no problem staying at Tuscany again.

What Star Wars park are you referring to? Galaxies Edge has been open for several years at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando.

They are eventually going to close Galaxy’s Edge and open a Star Wars dedicated park.

You must have read that on Mouse Trap News (a satire website that writes fake stories about Disney). If not, I think you need to cite your source.

I guess it was fake. I’m not that deep into Disney and I read that as we were ready to go last year. I’ve been wrong before and this most definitely won’t be the last.

Parking can be a challenge if you come back from the parks late, the close spots fill up fast. You might need to drop your son near the building first.

Building one next to the pool can be a little noisy. I would take building two. I always request "not building seven" because of parking. You might find yourself parking between four and five at the end and having to walk back to seven. If there is no parking at two you can park at one or main lot by the clubhouse and it's an easy walk. All the buildings have elevators. I highly recommend eating at Freddy's across the street. Tuscany is my favorite.

We had the issue of finding parking after a park day. There were spots over by the smaller pool, so perhaps a building near there.
