I had been searching for a good price on a flight to do some island hopping in the Caribbean in the fall. I found a good price on the main flight segments on Orbitz, but when I tried to book it, the price jumped up $180 more. Kept trying it for several days with the same price change.

I remembered reading a thread last fall about prices jumping up when someone tried to book a flight. Searched and found the thread which had somewhat of an explanation as well as several sites to check. As suggested, I tried Kayak.com and found the same low fare. It sent me over to 1-800 Cheapseats to book. Happy to say I got the reduced fare and saved $175 on each of 2 tickets.

THANKS TUG - more wonderful cost saving advice!!! That $10 a year pays off yet again!!!
