TUG has been great for us for over 20 years. Introduced me to trading South Africa timeshares. What a fantastic hack that was in RCI

Lots of great exchanges because of tug, but the best tip was to look on Estero Florida for a home and we were so happy there.

TUG has helped me find some great timeshares and exchanges, but what I’m most grateful for are the fantastic friends I’ve found!

We started timesharing in 1998 buying a week at PeeknPeak's Greenwood Forest in upstate NY when it was brand-new. Shortly afterwards I found TUG and a few years later, thanks to TUG member advice we bought a South African timeshare that came with a free 25-year RCI membership which finally expires next month. I cannot calculate the savings that TUG tip has yielded! A year or so later I read on the forums that Fitzpatrick's Castle near Dublin Ireland was a great trader so we purchased a week there. We've kept our week at the Peak, sold the SA timeshare and gifted Fitzpatrick's Castle to our DS and DSiL.

Thanks to honest TUG member reviews TUG has helped us select excellent resorts to exchange into. Since RCI went to Trading Power Units, we've routinely gotten 3 weeks from our one. Over the years we've vacationed 59 weeks in 30 U.S. states, 4 weeks in Canada, 4 weeks in England, single weeks in Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Portugal, Scotland, Spain and of course, Ireland!

Next week we add another state to our list of trades- Hawaii!!

I found TUG after purchasing our first membership. I learned about buying second hand memberships which brought down our average cost of membership and allowed us more time as snowbirds in Mexico. That was about 28 years ago that I found TUG after purchasing from developer. Timesharing has been like having a vacation home that we only paid for when we were there.
I have gotten a lot of tips and advice from TUGGERS over these years.

We've been TS owners for 30 years, and TUG members for more than 25 of those years. TUG's comprehensive resort database and forums have been invaluable resources the whole time. They've steered us away from some places, and surprised us with others. Our first instinct when we want to go somewhere is to look up the location on TUG and see if there's a TS there or nearby.

Joined TUG over twenty years ago and have really benefited from it. Started with a couple of South African timeshares that got us some great trades in the UK, France, NYC and Canada that, along with the 20 year RCI membership, were a great deal. Couldn't have done it without the information on TUG! Now down to one timeshare in California that we still enjoy visiting and trading (sometimes with SFX). Have appreciated all the advice, reviews etc.

I found some very helpful information on TUG when we wanted to sell our Hilton Timeshare in Orlando. We had an offer almost immediately on this website plus we found a great Timeshare attorney here to do the title transfer. I have been a member for at least 4 years now. Thankful that I found TUG and always share this website with fellow timeshare owners. Currently own Marriott and Vistana Signature vacations.

TUG should be a mandatory course before anyone buys a timeshare. I’ve shared many times before that I joined TUG a good 18 months before I purchased a timeshare. Apparently I failed the course a few times and needed to take it again. After those 18 months, asking lots of questions and late night studying, I finally passed. Thanks to the many kind and patient people here on TUG, I ended up with a timeshare that was exactly what I needed.

After purchasing our first TS from the developer(Westin), I found TUG and purchase several more on the secondary market for much less, with the same benefits. TUG has been invaluable for learning how to use our weeks every year for some very memorable vacations.

Two things I learned from TUG members that stick with me:
1. Buy where you want to go, and
2. Use your weeks!

Through TUG I learned to always buy on the secondary market, and to buy where you want to have your vacations. Sadly I learned the first after purchasing from the Sunterra many years ago, but at least we did buy where we wanted to vacation. We bought our last timeshare through the secondary market, so at least I learned my lesson!
