Can someone tell me why even though I have visited the TUG BBS (or the Tug site for that matter) it doesn't show up in IE as one of my recently visited sites? I know I can "favorite" it--but it would be so much easier to just click on the history drop down.

Thanks

Thre is nothing in the bbs that would prevent it from getting listed in your IE history.

Moving this from About TUG BBS to our general conversation forum, TUG Lounge, in the hope that you'll be able to get the help with IE you need.

Chances are it's on your end, perhaps your security selections on your computer. Could also be that you're running some sort of program that cleans out your cookies on a regular basis.

I know there's a box you can check in the logon area that says "remember me" (or something to that effect); have you tried checking that box?

Your History buffer only has so much room in it. If you start typing the URL on the address line, does it drop down and show up then? If not, try clearing your browser history and start fresh after a reboot. The site name should show up until the buffer gets full again.

When you use IE to access a web site by clicking on a selection in your favorites, the address of that web site does not appear in your history. However, if you type www.tug2.net into your address bar, you will find that it then does appear in your history.
