AFAIK, there are no evac orders or shelters open... even for those in the path.
The only delays at FLL and PBI airports are for departures to the Bahamas.

Here's the online update for Oceana Palms (I'd call for current status):
"Tropical Weather Update (8/1/20 8 a.m.): The National Weather Service has updated the weather conditions to a Hurricane Warning for Marriott’s Oceana Palms, in anticipation of a potential impact of Hurricane Isaias. The resort is currently open and operational at this time..."

I light of this, I tend to doubt that RCI will provide relief (but they may).
As a Florida resident who's been thru a fair number of 'canes, I'd say that:
A Cat.1 hurricane is nothing to sneeze at, but it needn't ruin a week-long trip.
Typically, they clear out pretty quick.

Marriott called me. Beaches closed, pools closed, balconies closed. Doesn’t sound all that fun. Thankfully, I take lots of vacations so missing this one won’t hurt. Plus, I live in Carlsbad so it’s kind of a vacation every day.

I called in again. They waived the re-trade fee due to the storm but it's limited to the month of August because I'm cancelling so close to check in day. As if I knew a hurricane was coming. Anyway, it was an AC so nothing good was available so I got a 2br at DSV 1 in Palm Desert which is drivable and we can come home if it's too damn hot. It was a mild 120 yesterday in Palm Desert.

At least you won't encounter any hurricanes there,
and you can still work on your tan (or golf game).

The heat wave was this week. 122 in Borrego Springs yesterday. If it's 105-110 it's doable. Anything above that is pretty smoking hot but the evenings are nice around the pool. I'll run up Marriott's electric bill by blasting the AC.

news stations here basically saying most inland cities west of 95 arent likely to see any significant weather event as it weakens and skirts up the coast.

I'm putting that one up on my bulletin board.

As a I child, I celebrated when hurricanes cancelled school.
Now, COVID cancels school w/o a hurricane. Life is so unfair.

That storm turned out to be worse than expected. Several of my friends had their homes destroyed. Some in Florida, more in the Carolina's. Not so much from the tropical storm directly, but the tornadoes it spawned. Trees down into their houses and stuff like that. Never underestimate a tropical storm. Thousands out of power. Glad the OP decided to bail.

Much better than expected for Florida, barely grazing the coast. Much worse further North.

NPR -- South Florida is emerging from the storm with relatively little damage... Between 2 and 4 inches of rain fell in some South Florida areas... WLRN reported that FP&L had restored power to nearly 20,000 customers as of 9 a.m. Sunday.

New York Times -- Tropical Storm Isaias remained offshore and did not deliver the punch officials had feared.

WJXT-TV -- Flagler County’s rebuilt SR A1A and oft-battered pier survived with little damage.
