Yesterday we attended an Owners Update, and since we hadn't attended an Update for a few years, we were told about a new benefit created for VIP Owners that we could purchase. I believe we were told that our cost would be based on our current Ownership (Founders level, Presidential Reserve) and how much we have spent thus far in direct purchases from Club Wyndham. We were told that this is referred to as the "Travel and Leisure Benefit".

If anyone attended a sales presentation or has information and could provide some clarification about what the enhanced benefit referred to as "Travel and Leisure", we would like to know what are we missing.

Ask yourself has Wyndham provided everything you need in your ownership so far? IMO Travel and Leisure is another why for Wyndham to squeeze money out of its owners under a different program name. Your a VIP shouldn’t you already have everything you need from Wyndham without paying more to get a travel program that no doubts gets you discounted travel.
Other owners that might have purchases it will have to answer if it’s worth it.

Travel and Leisure is a program that basically gives owners their own online travel agent; similar to Expedia, Travelocity, etc. I have it and have used it on occasion, but you have to really check the other sites to make sure you are getting the best deal. Sometimes you do and other times the other sites or booking through the actual companies sites are better. If you have credit cards and reward points; this may be the better option to go.

They are referring to TravelUp - the equivalent of Expedia, Kayak, Travelocity, etc., and generally TravelUp doesn't have better prices than any of the popular travel sites - and in some cases worse pricing. Definitely not worth buying developer points for access to TravelUp. In fact, recently, Wyndham has started giving VIPs access to TravelUp for no cost.

Thank you for the responses! At the Presentation we attended, the couple next to us was signing up for this, and I tried to get their attention to "wait" but they were too focused on the sheet of paper that they were shown and never looked up.
But now, I am glad our TUG experience came back to us and we .... waited. We truly appreciate all the input from TUG and its members! Thank you all very much!!
