Travel Insurance

If a friend of mine rents a WSJ from an owner and the resort closes could she get travel insurance that would cover her rental amount.

If so, anybody have a travel insurance recommendation.

Check out Square Mouth or Insure My Trip. Keep in mind, that if it closes because of COVID-19, then any new policies sold may not cover it.

I rented a 2 bdrm OF unit from a Marriott Ocean Watch owner for September travel. After discussion, we agreed (and put in the contract) that in case of travel restrictions related to the virus or a hurricane that closed the resort, she would offer me whatever remedy Marriott offered to her. IOW, if they offered to allow her to re-book in the future, she would offer that to me.
