Very much fun. We have been on some pieces of this a while back, but not parts that look like the article you linked. Either we missed these fun-looking parts or they've really spruced it up quite a bit since we were last there. Not sure of which parts we were on, but certainly not a 6-block stretch. There's even a light at 6 1/2 avenue crossing 57th, but the alley seems to have ended by that point (or I've walked past it many times and not noticed as we take the subway on 7th or Columbus Circle often).

I've been through the one by W57 and never saw it as well. The article indicates that it is closer to W53rd end of the promenade. I could see more springing up since space is NYC is at a premium. Will have to give it a try!
