We are staying at Marriott Lakeshore in 2 weeks. Does anyone have suggestions on transportation to Disney? The Marriott hotel can arrange a car for $42 each way to Epcot. We cannot drive a car. We had planned on multiple trips to Disney, but might have to decrease the trips at almost $100 each trip to Disney. Also, is there a way to go to the Outlet shopping or to a grocery store? Thanks.

Before I booked Lakeshore, I called the JW Marriott next door. They said a shuttle went to Disney for $19. When I called last week to setup the shuttle, the Marriott said the shuttle does not go to Disney. This information was different than what I was told several months ago. Unfortunately we now have to pay for the taxi or car service, which is $42 each way. Oh well.

I would call one of the car companies directly or go visit a local travel agent.

If you are going to do it multiple days, you can probably work out something directly to get a better deal.

Call Mears transportation. They have a variety of services and they may be able to customize transportation for you. Good luck.

Unfortunately the Orlando public bus option, Lynx, is not that attractive for Lakeshore Reserve. It would take about 2 hours, but the cost is $4.

I can't help with the car situation but as for groceries there are 2 places that deliver that I use all the time in Orlando. One is wegoshop.com They don't have grocery list you just tell them what you want and they buy it. They can make mistakes and misread your order so be as specific as possible. They will also shop at the grocery store of your choice. There is also gardengrocer.com and they actually have a website where you pick the food you want. It is slightly marked up (but for us Californians it is less than our grocery prices but I've heard from others that live in other states that their prices are really high). Good luck..

Cab to Downtown Disney

Here is an idea, but not sure if it will work. Cab to Downtown Disney that is closest to Disney SSR. Take the walk path over to the closest bus stop in SSR. Catch the shuttle to whatever Disney Park that you want to go to that day. Will it work??? Patrick

Posted this before in the wrong thread. Here's the info from the desk at Lakeshore.

Just checked with the front desk. You can sign up at the JW for a shuttle to the parks. It's free to Sea World and Discovery Cove. To Disney it's $18 pp R/T. Publix is about 2 miles away. Best bet would be a cab to there. Probably about $10 based on the rates they publish on the side of the cab. Hope this helps.
