I am in the process of purchasing a timehsare unit in Palm Springs that happens to be on Indian owned land. JRA will not close the transaction due to that fact. The company they referred me (which also happens to bethe company the resort recommended) is not returning my calls. Does anyone have any experience with acquiring units on Inidian owned land?

Thanks

You may want to try Stewart Vacation Ownership in Riverside, they did a Palm Springs for me once and did a really good job.

The transfer is quite tricky and requires a number of additional filing with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Stewart/Intercity Escrow have completed many of these in the past. Expect much higher closing costs and be patient- this closing isn't quick.
