I have 5 transactions for reservations with my purchase in 2015. Points usage begins 2016. I have made 2 reservations. Will the three remaining transaction expire 12/31/15 and then get 5 more on 1/1/16 or do the transactions follow use year, leaving me 3 to use in 201y?

You get a reservation transactions (RT) each calendar year as your allotment for every 77K points you have. Whatever RT's you do not use, expire at the end of the calendar year. Rt's do not carry over.

Any RT's you use during the same business day counts as only 1. It is important to plan your transactions carefully (so that you will have enough and hopefully not waste them). If you run out of RT's you will have to pay $30 online or more for the call center. Additionally, you will need to have an available RT to deposit Wyndham points into RCI if you want to make any deposit .
