Does anyone have any experience with this company? My parents used them to buy their points several years ago & my father just sent me their info. Since you all are well-versed in TS info., I thought I'd ask!

That is a company owned by Scott and Sandra Riddle. They focus on RCI point resales for Rayburn Country out of Texas, and RCI pt inventory from South Africa.

If this is your first purchase, I wouldn't usually recommend you jump into RCI pts as the system can be somewhat confusing. Spend time in the various forums and look into a few different programs before making your final decision.

On the other hand, we bought from Scott Riddle when we were looking for an entry into RCI PFD. At that time, they had one of the best deals. We recently sold that unit (at about one-third of what we paid for it) but it served our purpose quite well, Let us get a handle on RCI and deposit some of our weeks for great vacations - and short stays versus week long. From what I can see, there is now a program that let's you lease points for three years that seems to be a good entry but, you wind up owning nothing. Could be good or bad. The Rayburn Resort had very low, stable MF; which is, of course, what you want.

You've received some good input already. With all due respect, you likely don't yet have enough knowledge or background on which to be considering a purchase which, immediately upon closing, can become a long term committment (regardless of purchase cost or currently low maint. fees).

If you later decide after reading and learning more that RCI Points (the product offered by Scott Riddle via Sam Rayburn CC in Texas) is the way you want to go, then also consider the fact that you can instead buy into a short term (i.e., 3 years) RTU / lease for varying levels of RCI Points, without having to "buy into" the longer term committment of actual ownership (and also averting the risk of financial loss upon later resale, such as that already reported above by a "purchasing owner" poster).
While it's true that you don't "own" anything in the RTU / lease, does that really matter at all to you if what you basically want is annually issued RCI Points, at a reasonable and predictable annual maintenance fee?

In any event, as others have wisely advised, first read and learn, then read and learn some more about the many available timeshare options out there before "locking in" on any particular system, product or vendor.

Just my $0.02 worth, offered as food for thought.
For the record, I have no association or any affiliation of any kind with the RTU/ Lease option mentioned. I'm merely noting its' existence, not "peddling" or "endorsing" the product in any way, shape or form....

I am just at the beginning stages of this, so I'm grateful for all the input I can get. I think I'm going to talk to him, just to get some more info. I'm still confused about whether or not to buy. I'm hoping that surfing this board will help me make my decision.

I'm still confused about whether or not to buy.

Then you are not ready to buy yet, and you should continue to learn more about timesharing, and make a promise to yourself to wait 6 mos. before you buy anything. There is no reason to rush - this is a buyer's market. So take your time and don't buy until you are SURE of your decision! Good luck! :hi:

First decide about purchasing a timeshare.. do you like the idea(s) of it, can you do the commitment, can you pay the fees, and actually take the time to vacation every year (or as often as the timeshare you purchase is).

Scott is a good guy, very smart, and will answer just about any question you have. So don't hesitate to talk to him as he's not pressuring like most timeshare salesmen.
