Trading weeks in Cancun through RCI

Hello,
We have weeks at Crown Paradise/Golden Shores in Cancun with the only exception being Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. We exchanged successfully into their resort in PV (which was great, by the way), and then last year tried to exchange into RCI with great frustration. We did finally get into Carlsbad in October. We want to do this right next time, however, so we can actually exchange into something nice when the kids are out of school in late May.

So, if I can select any week besides the 3 blackouts above to exchange, what week would you recommend I exchange in Cancun and when? (I think Crown Paradise only allows you to exchange starting Jan 1 for the year of the exchange). If I call them on Jan 1, 2009, exchanging for January seems too close. Should I go for April or December? I'm trying to exchange for something in late May 2009.

You are really late trying to trade for something for

this coming May.

Now is when you should be looking for May 2010 if your are using RCI.

RCI has pretty good availability between 18 and 24 months prior, at around 12 months, most if not all the good trades are gone.

Where are you trying to get to in May?
