Trading Power of Sport Week at Cypress Harbour

Folks,

I was wondering if somebody can provide inputs/insights on what would be the trading power of a Sport Week at Marriott's Cypress Harbour Resort in Orlando.

I would like to exchange this unit to something equivalent or better in either Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head for next year around August.

Will this kind of a trade be even possible and to get such a trade what time should I make a booking at Cypress Harbour?

Any thoughts/insights on this would be greatly helpful and much appreciated.

As to trade power, I've traded my sport CH week for Key West in winter (Hyatt Beach House and Windward Pointe), several Hawaii weeks (again in winter--Marriotts--KBC and KoOlina), and Marriott's Newport Coast so, IMO, it's trade power is quite good considering it is an Orlando resort.

I've never trade my sport CH week for either MOW or any of the HHI marriotts so I can't answer your specific question about trading for them and if CH has enough trade power. I would be surprised if it did not . That being said, even though it could trade for MOW or HHI resorts, there are a lot of marriotts that would be ahead of CH in terms of trade power so depending on how many MOW/HHI units are available and how many traders from other marriott resorts are requesting them would determine whether any MOW/HHI weeks are left when a sport CH week gets to the front of the line. Also, since summer is prime time for both MOW and HHI resorts, I'm guessing that requests for the beginning of August would be significantly harder to make than for the end of August.

As with any trade request the sooner the better. At least a year in advance to get the best possible chance and insure that your trade power for your deposit is maximized.

My CH sport week has traded very well. I've gotten Aruba Surf & Ocean Club several times in May, August and for 2009 I was able to exchange for the 4th of July week at the Ocean Club in Aruba. I was able to reserve Memorial Day week at CH then put in for the exchange to Aruba, therefore, I had a good week to give to II. IT took only 2 months for the exchange to go thru. Good luck and the earlier you request the better.

We have always received the exchanges that we have requested with our Cypress Harbour sport week. We have traded into Hilton Head during the summer and Ocean Pointe during Easter week. Some years, we have also received an AC for our deposit. I always put my request in at least 12 months in advance.
