I just rec'd emails for Trading Places 2-for-1 AND Platinum Exchg 3-for-1 - which both sound great!

Is anyone familiar with which would be better to deposit into?
(I have a Red week at Tahiti Village TVV in Las Vegas, if that matters)

What do you think?

Is there a list comparing the different exchange companies and their strengths & benefits?
That would be great if there were!

Trading Places never has any resorts I want to stay at so I do not use even though I could with my TS.

A lot depends where you want to go. What I don't like about Platinum is that you have to pay an upgrade fee for a holiday week and there are a lot of weeks that are considered holiday.

Trading places have a lot more locations that we want to go

Take a look at their exchange availability weeks online, and choose whichever one has more availability for what you're looking for. The 2-for-1 and 3-for-1 offers usually allow you 1 or 2 extra short-notice exchanges, which I'd rarely be able to avail myself of, so I wouldn't be swayed by that unless you can travel on short notice. I've personally used Platinum, and wouldn't hesitate to use either one for certain destinations. Less choice overall than RCI or II, but both sometimes have lots of weeks available at specific resorts they're affiliated with, and way into the future. Trading Places probably has more than Platinum.

I am trying to remember, is Trading Places the one that adds a surcharge to certain resorts? I seem to remember being turned off by that when I was looking for the berkshires some years ago.

Thanks for your feedback! We are able to do short term travel now, and I am glad to get all of your input on what to consider, such as upgrade fees, locations, etc. Fortunately I have time to research and consider, as these offers are good until 2/18 and 3/31/2020

Thanks! Our TUG community is the best!

I remember seeing a surcharge for Ocho Cascades but It has been awhile. I use them a lot and have never paid a surcharge. They do charge a fee to upgrade in size and in season.
