trading for Marriott Reward Points

I was just told that my resale purchase of MVO is not eligible to be converted to Marriott Reward points. I never new they don't allow resale purchased to do this? Can anyone confirm if this is true?

True. The MRP-exchange benefit does not transfer to the new owner of an external resale. That's always been the case with Marriott Weeks. (But an external resale purchased prior to 6/20/10 is eligible for enrollment in the DC, and with that enrollment comes an MRP-exchange benefit.)
