I have a request for II for summer 2010, and it's too early for SFX. I'm wondering about RCI? What luck have others had for summer trades into Vancouver? Thanks,
Liz

Worldmark has a resort in Vancouver. RCI is WM's official affiliate. So a request into RCI would be good. But I don't know if WM deposits summer Vancouver - I have mostly seen off seasons. It is also too early for WM, whose deposits are usually done a year or less out. I guess it would be good to get into line at RCI. (Note: The largest units at Worldmark Vancouver, the 2BRs, only sleep 4.)

There are also other timeshares in Vancouver - Club Intrawest, Point to Point, to name a couple.

liz: I wonder if a note on the Canada board would bring any results? We fortunately own at Worldmark and just made Vancouver and Victoria reservations for 8/09 -- but there may be smaller exchanges that Canadians know about. Also, don't forget Bed and Breakfasts there if you are not successful with timeshares. :)

I'm wishing we had sold our Welk when they would buy it for $7500 and bought some Worldmark resale, but we didn't and moved to points with Welk. My plan is to do a week in Whistler with Vancouver, but I can't request that until I get Vancouver so everything is hinging on everything else. Ultimately, I could do Priceline or Sheraton points and pay for Vancouver and book Whistler, but I'm waiting as it is still really early for 2010.

I don't know much about it, but on the Worldmark board you might inquire about renting credits to get into Worldmark Vancouver. Have absolutely no idea how that works but that it is an up and running thing done frequently with Worldmark owners. You could gather info and not commit and see if your timeshare request comes in. Just an idea....

Only Worldmark owners can rent credits, because then they can use the rented credits to book out of their own accounts. Non-owners would not be able to book with the credits.

You could post on Wmowners.com's WM Reservations Wanted board to see if anybody wants to do a direct exchange. You could actually get both Vancouver and Whistler this way. But they can't book summer 2010 until summer 2009, so this is a bit too early.

There are other TS systems which have nice TS in Vancouver.

Club Intrawest and Avaiwest (SP?) both have a TS in Vancouver. Both trade mostly with RCI.

We got our trade into Club Intrawest Vancouver through RCI. It is for fall though, not high summer season. I got it with a mediocre weeks trader so I think it was just luck. Going next month so I'll write a review when we return.
