Trade Help Needed [Starwood]

I own 2 weeks in St. John - 2 bedroom hillside unit weeks 17 and 18. Is it possible to get a 2 bedroom in Maui for 2 weeks in April 2013. What is the easiest way someone can recommend? Obviously, I do not own enough star points to use the SVO system for this. I appreciate any advice!

Hi Jim - I would recommend that you try to do a private trade with an owner that has 2 weeks on Maui. We have a direct exchange area in the TUG Marketplace (classifieds.) See the link in the red bar - top of page.

2nd choice would be to try for a II trade, but it's going to be difficult to get two consecutive weeks through II.

3rd choice would be to rent your weeks, and use the funds to rent directly from an owner.

I think if you exchange through II you do have to call for them to note on your account that you want two consecutive weeks. I have seen some April 2013 Maui exchanges, but the inventory keeps changing, some days there are multiple weeks and other days there are none. There are many forums on II on Hawaii Islands and exchanging consecutive weeks that you can use to research how others have done it sucessfully or not.
