Hello, Golfers!

What are the Top 5 Timeshare Golf Resorts (prefer ones that have a Golf School on, or very close to, the resort) in the US, Caribbean and Europe?

We are planning a golf trip for May, 2012. Originally we were focused on Arizona but have decided to expand our options.

Looking forward to your comments.

I understand that the Prince Course at Princeville Kauai is incredible. You might want to consider the nearby Westin Kauai timeshares in Princeville.

Marriott's Shadow Ridge in Palm Desert has an on site school "run" by Nick Faldo as well as a challenging 18 hole course. You can take private lessons, group lessons, or go for the gold and sign up for their multi-day school. I ended up taking the 1 hour afternoon group lessons. Each day (M-F) focuses on a different part of the game (full swing, chipping, putting). The instructors are taught "the Faldo Way" and they all teach the same stuff to you.

There's also one at Grande Vista in Orlando.

There is an excellent golf school located on Sea Pines Plantation., Hilton Head Island, SC.

We liked the following Marriott's timeshare on the island the Grande Ocean, Barney and Surf Watch. All are very nice.

Thanks for the replies!

Which is nicest: Grande Ocean, Baroney or Surf Watch?

Just a few off the top of my head-

Four Seasons Aviara, San Diego area
Samoset Resort, Rockport, ME
A very long list in Myrtle Beach, SC
Sheraton PGA Vacation Resort, Port St. Lucie, FL
Resort at World Golf Village, St Augustine, FL
Doral, Miami area, FL

What are the major airports closest to Port St Lucie & St Augustine in Florida and Rockport, Maine?

How about Top 3 for Myrtle Beach?

Ft Lauderdale, Jacksonvile, and Portland.

Here is one group's opinion-

Personally, I like:
- Caledonia and True Blue
- Barefoot (Love, Dye, Fazio, in that order)
- Tidewater
- The Dunes Club
- Myrtle Beach National - King's North
- Willbrook
I've heard good things about the resort course at Grande Dunes.
