Tommy Bahamas beach chairs available at HGVC Big Island

Hello All,

We will be checking out on Tues. June, 13th, so will have available 2 like new, Tommy Bahama beach chairs along with 2 small kiddie beach chairs (4 Beach Chairs total) on Monday night, June 12th at HGVC Kings' Land. So, if anybody is staying at the HGVC Kings' Land / Kohala Suites / or Bay Club, and wants them, please respond to this post or PM me, and we can arrange via PM how to get the beach chairs to you.

I am hoping this morph into something similar and as popular as the Tommy Bahama beach chair thread on the Westin Maui resort here: https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/tommy-bahamas-beach-chairs-available-at-wkorn.327669/

Maybe it will become popular enough that we can have our own calendar for HGVC Big Island like the Westin Maui folks. If possible, I hope we can keep these chairs circulating among the HGVC system / folks.

We have no need for beach chairs as that's not what we do when we go there, but we'd be happy to join the calendar and hold them in case our timing works out as a bridge for others.

If the calendar comes to pass, we'll certainly add ourselves.

You are absolutely right, and thanks for the suggestion!!! This is the first time my family had beach chairs the many times we been to Hawaii, and my wife loves them. She really wanted to bring them home, but we aren't going to realistically bring beach chairs back and forth. Plus, we don't live nearby any beaches at home, and every pool we go to have nice lounge chairs for use already. So, we believe that passing on to others so that they may enjoy as much as we did is best.

And what better group to return thanks back to other than TUG Ohana here? I learned so much, and TUG gave us the confidence to start diving into Timeshares for which we had many precious family vacations / memories.

I will be giving the Beach Chairs to TR3 Driver on the 12th, who will than hand off to cindyc before leaving on the 16th. CindyC will used until the 23rd, so if you are staying on the Big Island for a longer than a week, and would like Beach Chairs aftewards, contact CindyC.

If you receive possession of the beach chairs, please post your check-out date on this thread, so others know when the beach chairs are available, and who to contact/message next.

And if there's a break, and no available TUGger that would like the beach chairs, then by all means, pass them along to anybody else you see checking in that might want them. But I hope it can stay within the TUG Family and make it past the 1-year mark like the other Westin Beach Chair Thread, that would be so cool!!!

@cindyc has them right now. However, as she posted, she is looking to hand them off on the 23rd, but it seems you won't be on the Big Island until the 27th. Unless the Bell Desk at one of the HGVC resort is willing to hold on to them for several days, or there is another TUGger that can bridge the GAP in dates, it seems this will come to an end sooner than expected. It appears there are way many more TUGgers in the Vistana/Westin system than there are TUGgers in the HGVC system.

So, you can try PM'ing cindyc, and call the Front Desk / Bell Desk at the HGVC Resort where CindyC is currently staying at, and or where you will be staying at, and see if you can arrange something. If not, I am sorry it didn't work out, as this comes to an end, with Cindyc giving away the chairs to just anybody checking in (not part of TUG family)

Wonderful! @johnf0614 , may I suggest you start a 3-way chat/PM with @cindyc and @mcdanielpj , so that CindyC knows she can hand off to mcdanielpj who can than hand off to you when you arrive.

Good Luck to all of you wants use of the Beach Chairs. We will just see how long this goes on for, how long it lasts! Most importantly, enjoy your vacation on the Big Island!!!
