Tired of waiting for RCI to deposit a week

Hi Madge,

Why does it take so long for RCI to physically deposit a week? I've had the message on my account for 3 weeks now telling me RCI is verifying my week deposit with my resort. But 3 weeks ago I had my resort email me to say to notify RCI that my week was available! My resort easily transacted my levy payment in 2 days.

The timeline for this is far too long. I'd appreciate some advice on how to manage a transaction with more speed. After all, we are depositing our week in order to book a vacation.

Thanks Madge.

Diane

Hi Diane,
Since you used the word 'levy' I'm assuming you're talking about a SA resort. Right? This has always been a problem but if you send an email to thespecialists@rci.co.za you should get your week deposited quickly. Back in the day, we used to get quick help from Tony but he has left RCI SA. The above email addy should work for you. It has been mentioned a couple times on the SA forum.

Cheers,
Phil

Wow thanks Phil. I'll send one and report back. I haven't frequented the SA forum as often as I should or I would have know this. I recall the 'Tony' days, I didn't even know he had left.

Diane H,

Resorts generally get the message right away when an owner wants to deposit with RCI. However, processes and turnaround times vary substantially from one resort to another, and sometimes from one RCI international office to another. Phil's advice for your South Africa deposit was spot on!
