Hi all!

Our family will be at Marbrisa for the first time in a two bedroom unit over New Year's.

Are there any recent Marbrisa updates from anyone?

Is there WiFi? Is it free? What is the charge?

Anything really cool in the area going on over New Year's that we shouldn't miss?

TIA,

nonutrix

Marbrisa, is not in San Diego but in Carlsbad which is probably 20 to 30 minutes from San Diego. Only thing Carlsbad has nearby is Legoland (Which maybe closed this time of year) and of course the beach. Go to the San Diego, Shoreline Villaege and closeby the Midway Aircraft Carrier is parked for tours down by the Marina, it's affordable and probably 1/2 day to full day. Shoreline village is nice to walk around down by San Diego Bay and there is the San Diego Zoo and also the Wild Animal Park. If you are into gambling, their are casinos within driving distance one of them is the Barona. There is lots to do in San Diego!!!!!:hi:

...or Pala Casino. Carlsbad is a great destination town and I'm sure they will have plenty going on in your backyard that night. Enjoy :whoopie: Doc

Shoreline -- do you mean Seaport Village? My feelings are hurt that Carlsbad hasn't much - lol. We have the Music Museum (40 years of history); streets of antiques and cafes; a high end factory outlet mall with 60 stores; and most of all right now -- rain :(

I agree with you 100%, maybe a day trip to SD but Carsbad has plenty to keep you and the family occupied and great weather that time of year. Doc

We were there in August and Internet was free. I think it was wireless, because we had two computers using it with no problems.

Have fun. We liked the one bedroom villa, but would have loved a two bedroom!
