I put together a video that describes a 3 step process for getting a lot out of your timeshares. A lot of people get pressured into buying a timeshare and then feel frustrated forever (including my friends). Often, this is because they don't know how to use timeshare to do what the timeshare sales person said was possible. The three steps in the video offer an opportunity to reach the happiness you had hoped to see. The steps are;

1, Plan your timeshare vacation well in advance to get to stay at your favorite places using your points
2. Use the exchange (RCI or II) to do stays for under $400/week
3, Leverage the credit card from the timeshare company for getaway weekends.

Enjoy the video - Fun Not Frustration Video

We've come to think of timeshares & timeshare vacationing as being like a complicated board game, played with real dollars instead of monopoly money & with real people instead of little game tokens, & with real places to go instead of little squares on a game board.

We play recreationally, not competitively.

Love the comment "We play recreationally, not competitively." That is a good way to live life also.

I have always said the same thing
Any TS is a screw job unless you use it. The same could be said for a new car
If you bought one. Parked it in the garage and never used it then where is the value?

Even if someone paid too much. Which many do
If you stop stressing over it and start learning how to use it then there will still be a value with some great vacation accommodations
