I don't think they are any value for cruises but would like to hear the opinions of others.....

Rarely. This subject has been discussed regularly. Seems someone found some value in booking some cruises through II that offered a discount and didn't require depositing a week. I'm not an II member so couldn't test it to see if it was a better discount than say, Vacationstogo's cash price.

So far, anytime I have put my MF cost up against the discount offered by a cruise discounter, the only time I've come out ahead (using RCI) would be to book 4 cabins.

I have tested my weeks extensively and it works well on Certain cruises.

My weeks that are PINK or white seem to work OK.

They really only work good for people with 2 in the cruise.

If you maintenance fees are over $500 for a week it's probably not a good idea.

This is what I thought- but was hoping... Oh well.

thanks

It worked well for me because I broke my four bedroom Westgate into three weeks (three units) and used the two bedroom unit (out of the three) to book on the Oasis Of The Seas- with a balcony (Royal Carribbean) for a decent discount (almost $1000 IIRC). Therefore I still had two one bedroom units left.
