Timeshare Traveler Episode 56... Hilton and Marriott Merger Updates May ‘22

I qualify as a glutton for punishment. Two owner updates in one week from two different timeshare companies both of which are in the process of a merger. It just so happens that both of the places I got my updates were from the companies being acquired (Vistana location and Diamond International location).

The Marriott merger has taken almost five years and continues to move along at what seems like a slow pace. The Marriott team was less prepared and had less information to share. The Hilton team was prepared. They knew how I would fold into the new program and they could even demo the new site.

So, HGV has its integrated marketing down.

Glad the new locations are agreeable with you.

I look forward to the videos coming after August showing the availability of HVC properties through HVC Max. I don't doubt the sales pitch that they will theoretically be bookable. But I wonder if the real-world availability to book is something an objective customer will find justifies a developer purchase versus buying resale.

I had them check availability and six months from now I could get a garden view at the Point at Poipu.... Granted in was early November... The salesperson was a Owner with Diamond International. The inventory wasn't available in HGV Max, but the locations and Points were.
