As 2023 approaches and the Merger of Vistana and Marriott gets closer to being fully functional, I felt it would be a great idea to provide an update on how to maximize your points in 2023. Since I am an owner with both Marriott and Vistana, I wanted to cover plans for 2023. For those of you who don't have access to Marriott Abound, then I have provided you with some examples of what the points will look like in 2023.

Supposedly, Vistana owners will be provided with a chance to opt-in to Abound sometime this year. I am not sure when that will be. I am hoping it will be before 2023, but the merger has been delayed several times. At any point, the point charts are set and so planning for post merger can begin. Hopefully, this information will help. As an additional bonus, I discovered that international locations are often less points within the Marriott system than Domestic locations.... I have included a chart with examples. I haven't thought of traveling internationally because of Covid, but that could be changing in 2023 or 2024. It is worth consideration at least.
