Timeshare transfert from Canada Owner

Hi tuggers,

I sold my US timeshare and i use Lt transert for the closing, i receive the deep and they ask me to go to a public notary. Can you tell me where i can go for this signature, do i must present myself in a canadien notary office and or i can go to saw somebody else like a Commissioner for Oaths.

It depends on where your timeshare is located. For example, timeshares located in the state of California and HI require the signature in front of a US notary. Most states do not. LT Timeshares should know and have told you accordingly.

If you can use a non-US notary, then all CDN lawyers are notaries and there are some notary only designations. A commissioner of oaths, while very similar, cannot sign the document in place of a notary (speaking as a commissioner of oaths)

thanks for reply, i have a couple of friend lawyer but i dont think they have a 'seal' ?

Go to any canadian lawyer and have them notorize your signatures on the new deed you received from Lt Transfer it must be sealed

I'm assuming you live in Canada. If you live in B.C. you can go to a notary or lawyer.

If you live in other provinces, go to a lawyer.

If you live in Quebec, I'm can't give a definitive answer - their system is totally different.

Other than Quebec, all lawyers have a seal.

Don't just go to a commissioner - most of them aren't allowed to sign for anything outside of whatever province you're in.
