I heard some stories about rent payment being canceled by Paypal. Which payment method do you recommend for rentals for owners? I used checks in the mail, but there should be some better methods that also prevents fraud. Zelle, Venmo, etc.

I take personal and bank checks as long as the customer sends them to me via trackable overnight Express Mail. I also accept PayPal. Never had a problem with any of these methods.

You could also have a potential tenant use a wire transfer but always use a seldom used account which has nothing more than $1 in it.

I've never had a problem collecting money for rent via paypal. I prefer it because I know the money is in my acount instantly and the buyer can use any method they want to pay.
