Timeshare Owners: Get 3 for 1 Exchanges for Your Deposited Weeks with Platinum Interchange

Special offer ends March 15. This offer is much better than PI's current Threefer, known as Triple Your Trip, as it gives you 2 bonus weeks with longer reservation windows (120 days each, versus 45 and 90 days on the TYT promotion)

This is a great way to get 3 vacations in exchange for depositing one timeshare week with Platinum Interchange. PI is a major exchange company, not as big as RCI or II, but they book thousands of exchanges each year.

Right now, deposit a "good" week with Platinum, and Platinum will give you:


3 Weeks on Deposit, for use on future vacations good for 2 years after the deposit's check-in date:

- One (1) Regular Week
*No booking restrictions,

and

- Two (2) Bonus Weeks
*120 days or less before check-in booking restrictions

So, get 3-for-1. Platinum has no annual membership fees and reasonable ($129 and $149) exchange fees. Their main website:

Using an average $600 maintenance fee for your exchanged week, you would end up getting 3 weeks' vacation for under $1000 total ($600 plus $129 x 3 = $987).

We got the email too.........called to see if they would except our week....you get one exchange and two bonus weeks.........one 45 days out and another 90 days out......does someone know where most of their inventory is?? East coast-HI- West coast???

No, this is not the special, it is two weeks each 120 days. 45 and 90 is the usual deal and 2x120 is much better.
 
I have posted this before, but this year I have deposited two weeks with PI, and have exchanged into a 2 BR August week at Island Links in Hilton Head, a 1 BR November week at Paradise Beach Village in Aruba, and a 1 BR May week at the Jockey Club in Las Vegas. And, I still have two credits left!

PS - they don't accept Williamsburg for their three for one promo, Ridewithme, because they manage Williamsburg Plantation as part of their Vacation Village group.

In large part the extra weeks come from all of the Vacation Village properties they manage. There is an upcharge for any exchanges into those properties ($ 75 for a 1BR and $125 for a 2 BR).
 
It seems that they take studios but charge an upcharge if the exchange is to a larger unit?
 
I tried signing up last night and it told me that my email already had an account. I guess I signed up and forgot about it. Couldn't figure out my password, so I clicked on the Forgot Password link and it said it would be emailed to me. About 30 minutes later I clicked again. As of right now I have received no response to my Forgot Password request. I have to remember to call personally tomorrow during business hours.

How do you get the 120 day booking window vs the 45/90 day one? I see the special for the latter on their site, but not the former. Is there a code or just call and ask?

Thanks for posting this. I've been thinking about PI and this tips the balance for me.

Apparently when you call you have to specifically mention it.

They have several different promos so unless you specifically mention the one with 2 bonus week with 120 days advanced booking window you are going to get one of the other standard ones.

Can't speak to the international list, but they have a "unique" perspective on what is prime in the US. Gave them a "mud week" (which only used 10% of the points I receive for my week) and they gave me an anytime exchange week and two 120 day exchange weeks.

We'll see what sort of exchanges PI can provide for my requests - but if I can turn 1 MF into 30 weeks with them, I'm all in!

yes, just may need to check with the resort....or sign a form. Sandra at PI will explain.

The "away" list of available resorts is pretty weak. A lot of Vacation Villages and independents, with no Marriotts, Starwood and a couple Wyndham in Hawaii. It could be different when you put in a request, but it doesn't make me confident about getting the same quality resorts I would exchange with in II. I would hate to deposit a Starwood week and not get something I wanted.
 
My resort only trades in RCI, will they allow me to deposit a week in PI? Would I need the resort's permission? Do I need to pre-pay my maintenance fees first as I do with RCI?

You can deposit with PI, if your resort states they only exchange with RCI. First, contact your resort and make a reservation, getting a reservation number and prepay your maintenance fees. Next, contact PI and give them the reservation number. They will take it from there.

The current promotion has been extended to the end of March.
