Hello,

I am in the process of purchasing a resale timeshare and the seller is using Timeshare Escrow and Title LLC. Just wanted to confirm if anyone has used them in the past and if they are legit.

The paperwork has the file processor as Carol Morris and the escrow officer as Crystal O'Berry.

To paranoid about scams....

Thanks for any input

Hi Nadz786,

Timeshare Escrow and Title LLC is a supporting advertiser of TUG. I don’t think @TUGBrian would let any scammers on here.

lots of companies use similar names, but yes TRC (the one shown in the link below) has been both a TUG supporting advertiser for decades..and used by hundreds if not thousands of TUG members over that same time.

(would want to confirm its the same company, vs someone else using a similar name etc)

that said, if the seller is paying for closing..they have a right to choose whoever they wish.

That brings up a good point, the seller is paying closing so they can choose whoever they wish. Does that go the same for the buyer? Or does the buyer have to use the listing closing company even though the buyer pays the closing?

while there are no set rules, the general consensus is whoever is paying for closing can choose who they want.

if the other party didnt agree or forced me to use some other closing company at my expense...id simply move on to another deal.
