A friend of mine has two tickets for the 49ers game, this Sunday. These are box seat tickets. He paid $1,000 each & they come with ride to and from the game, lunch, dinner and $200.00 bar tab. He also has V.I.P. field passes to meet Jimmy Garoppalo, before the game. He didn’t realize when he bought postseason tix, it was going to be on the same day as his wedding. If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place... It’s at St. Paul’s church, in San Francisco at 3pm. Her name is Ann. She’s 5’0”, about 130 lbs, and a good cook too. She loves to hunt and fish, She’ll be the one in the white dress.

Now's when the 49er fans get to be full of themselves.
It's been a long road back. [Alright, Steve Young, not Joe Montana.]

BTW, Joe Montana is now 63 and worth an estimated $80 million (per Alexa).
Contrast Tom Brady, worth an estimated $180 milion (per Alexa).

It's been a long road back. IIRC, it was 1989 with Joe Montana?

They also won in 1994 with Steve Young. Speaking of a long road back, it's been six years since the 49ers even made the playoffs.

What should be interesting later this autumn is when the 49ers and Jimmy G. face the NE Patriots, the team that allowed him to go so as to keep Brady.

Side point: I noticed the Chiefs are an early 1.5 favourite.

Another dominant performance by the Niners. KC dominated the Titans after a show start. It should be an entertainment game against KC.

Best regards.

I say it's time the NFL stopped using Roman numerals for SB games.
You don't see software with Roman numbers, not even Windows,

Ir all started with SB I. Here's some interesting tidbits...KC vs. GB (1967).
Ticket prices averaged $12, but the game didn't sell out.
Al Hirt performed at the half-time show

The game was telecast by both CBS (NFL games) and NBC (AFL games).
The networks wiped and reused its tapes of the game to save costs.
A mostly complete copy of the broadcast was discovered in an attic.
However, the NFL which holds the copyright blocked its distribution.
NFL Films reassembled the game from other sources, not the broadcast.

I agree the NFL should stop using Roman numbers for the SB.
The Niners and KC have explosive offenses team and excellent defensive players. This could be the best SB played in decades.

Congrats to the SF 49ers. They proved what many here in Packer Nation sorta knew . . . we were a very lucky (and not that good) 13-3 team. The Super Bowl should be highly entertaining.

But it was not called Super Bowl I at the time.

Could be, but I'd have to give that designation to the SB two years ago between the Eagles and the Patriots. That one set or came close to setting many records for offence in any NFL game. Just go to Wikipedia's page about SB 52 and look under Final Statistics > Statistical Comparison.

As for this year's version, well one statement I will make is that the Chiefs will not be able to afford being down by double digits early in the game against the 49ers as they were against the Texans and Titans.

The 49er's were obviously a good team that played their guts out.
But their problem was that all their great players were from yesteryear.
... Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, Joe Montana, Steve Young, you were missed.

Yes, I am glad for Andy Reid winning. It was a good game of two pretty evenly matched teams, at least in the first half.

Jimmie has a monkey to get off his back with those interceptions. Only time will tell if he can.

I am so happy for Mahomes. He is an excellent quarterback. I was cheering for the KC Chiefs, even though I am a diehard Broncos fan.

The Niners played a good game, but KC came through in the end. Tough loss, but the Niners can build off of this. Hats off to KC and Andy Reid.

Best regards.

I was a fan of the old AFL. Glad to see one their teams beat the NFL.
I've read that the AFC & NFC are now tied with 27 SB wins each.
