Time to Close/Transfer

Last year I purchased my first Wyndham contract and if I remember correctly, it took approximately 2 months to close and get access to my points.

Is it different if you are an existing owner buying another contract? Does it take less time since you already are a Wyndham owner?

My last transfer took about 6 mos. When you buy resale, you are at the mercy of the owner, and the reseller, and the closing company, and Wyndham. It sat in Wyndham's title office for 2 mos.
