Time Share Gift Process

Hi, I need advice and guidance. Our friends want to give us their timeshare as a gift in Seaworld. We have done the research fee, transfer fee etc and we are willing to take it from them. Please let me know or explain to me what the process that we have to do. Who do we have to contact? Hilton Grand Vacation directly ? Or do people use intermediary? Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you

I know nothing about how this works but just thinking out loud would this work? How about having your friends add your name to their HCVC Account then in 2 or 3 months or so change the mailing address, phone number, Credit Card Number, etc on the account to yours? Then in a year or so remove your friends names from the account...

The advantage would be that you’d have the professional services of a third party company that specializes in closing timeshare transfers according to the applicable laws. If anything went wrong you’d have some recourse.

if you’re comfortable doing it yourself and you know what you’re doing it might work out just fine.

It requires getting clearance from HGVC - A waiver of right of first refusal.
A deed from your friends to you, which is recorded in Orange Co., Florida.
A copy of the deed to HGVC along with their fees and transfer application.

If you can do all that yourselves, great. Make a call to HGVC sevice center.

Only $175 to use this service. Well worth it, IMO.
