I'm trying to get rid of a time share I inherited from my parents. I have read all the postings which have been very helpful and am listing the timeshare myself because its in a small quiet resort... so now I'm looking for a closing company. One that works with no fees up front, just closing fees...

anyone had any experience with resortclosings.com? good, bad?

Anyone have any other recommendations? A reputable company that will do a flat fee closing and handle all the paperwork.

I'm not going to get a lot for the timeshare (probably nothing) so I only want to have to pay for the closing fees.

Thanks!

I used Resort closings on an ebay purchase because I didn't have a choice and it cost 500 bucks.

I bought another timeshare on Tug from an informed member and we used Legal Timeshare Transfer (LTT). They cost around 200 bucks total (everything) and did a great job. So, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend LT Transfer (google them for info).

Another vote here for LT Transfers. Note however that the resort itself might also charge a "transfer fee" to process the ownership change once you have completed the sale with a buyer. If so, it's likely under $100 for a small independent resort, but whatever that "transfer fee" (if any) might be and whichever closing company you choose to utilize, said resort-imposed transfer fee will not be included in the closing company fees and will be an additional cost, to be paid by either the seller or the buyer, as agreed in advance between the two.

P.S. The two closing entities that TUG Brian has identified above are also certainly worthy of support and consideration. One of them (PCS Holdings) utilizes licensed attorneys; something few other closing entities can claim and which can be of benefit if / when there are any "wrinkles" to be ironed out (such as a deceased spouse name on seller deed, for example).

Looking for reasonable, but good closing company for USVI. LT says they do not do USVI, Closelmytimeshare.com charges $1100. Does Timesharetansfer do uSVI?
