Timbers at Christmas Mountain Village

We rented an absolutely gorgeous Timbers unit last year (1st week of June). It appeared to be recently renovated, in that the exterior was painted a different color than the rest of the units. The inside was out of a magazine gorgeous! We want to return again this year during the same week. I have contacted the owner and she has it available. My question...does anyone know if all of the Timbers units have been renovated now? Is there a way to request the same unit as last year? Do they ever grant requests like that? We hate to be picky, but it would be somewhat disappointing to be in a non-updated room, especially since we will be paying higher rent than last year. Just curious...
 
You may have actually gotten the model unit. The renovations only started this winter, so I think the model was the only unit at Timbers that would have been renovated last summer. About 1/3rd of the units should be renovated by now, and I'm not sure they are getting every update the model got. (Owners decided the model was too pricey, and the renovations were scaled back a little.)

However, I own in a different phase/HOA of this resort, so maybe a Timbers owner will be along and can give more information.
