Does anyone have any suggestions about how to find out what shows will be in Lake Tahoe in April and getting tickets? We will be there staying at the Marriott Timber Lodge over Spring Break in April. We will be with 4 teenagers so if any of you have any information about shows that I would NOT want to take them to I would like to hear about that too. I did a google search but did not come up with much information. Thanks.

There are only 4 major casinos in South Lake Tahoe: Harrahs, Harveys, Caesars & High Sierra. Shows aren't really our thing, so I don't know much about them, but Harrahs has always been our favorite casino: http://www.harrahs.com/our_casinos/tah/index.html

The other casino websites should have entertainment info. too.

Entertainment Tickets

I go to Tahoe often and find it difficult to find out about entertainment. Sometimes in the pink section of the San Francisco Chronicle one will see Lake Tahoe and Reno events, but when the big concerts come up they are impossible to get tickets to. I have offered up to $1,000 for a pair at guest services to be told they can't get them for their high rollers. What does that tell about my gambling. (rather blow it once for two hours of fun) It would be nice if the casinos sent out emails like Ticket Master does. But I don't get them.

You might check out http://www.gotorenotahoe.com
which is a web site maintained by the Reno Gazette Journal (RGJ.com).
I believe that they are the ones that publish the weekly newspaper 'Best Bets' that I normally use when I'm in town (Tahoe and/or Reno) to see what's going on.

Entertainment

Last night after reading these posts I went back into TicketMaster.com, and after logging in you can go to "venues" and sure enough you can pick a bunch of places in Reno and Harveys/Harrahs at Lake Tahoe to watch. With these preferences set you get emails when entertainment tickets become available for sale.
