THREAD LENGTH
This is a question for the Website administration rather than Madge herself.
Long lengths of thread or fibre have a natural tendency to become entangled.
In a similar manner, if threads in boards (such as this) are too long, readers may lose their way and become disinterested.
Madge will also find it difficult to address the original question if there are too many inputs from members with their various views on the particular subject.
May I suggest that before Madge answers the original question that a limit is placed on the number of posts that are entered into one particular thread.
What happens after she posts her answer is open to debate.
