Idaho Springs hopes to strike gold again with scenic gondola, elaborate mountaintop attraction​

In addition to the cable car, a mountain park with miles of trails for mountain biking and hiking is coming. Planners hope the gondola is running by fall of 2025. Mayor says, "I couldn’t ask for a better fit for the city.”

Yep...add this to the Idaho Springs reasons to stop which now include Beau Jo's Pizza and walking under I-70 to see the waterfall/wheel up close

If your son doesn't know about Beau Jo's, he is not a true Coloradoan yet.

There are seven locations around Colorado, but the Idaho Springs location is the original and the best.

Beau Jo's Best Mountain Pie in the West! It's really good. The crust is great with honey, and it's such a treat because you get dessert with your pizza.

We were in Breck last week and planned to stop at the Argo Mine museum on our way to the airport. We had a 1020pm departure and this seemed like a great way to use part of the day and my 13 year old has been asking to do this for years.

Too much smoke from the wildfires had I70 backed up so we ended up heading south out of Breck! We will make it another time and also have some Mountain Pies.
