Never heard of Wahlburgers. I will watch for those and give them a try. We have an In-N-Out about 4 miles from home and it's been fun to go to a place near home that we always enjoyed in CA.

Whataburger just built a restaurant in Colorado Springs, right across the street from the newly-built In-N-Out. Burger heaven right there on that block.

I like In-N-Out, but I would drive across town for a WhataBurger (or, as I called it when I was a child, waterburger) if an In-n-Out were right across the street from me.

In regard to Wahlburger's being the fastest growing, it's easy to be that when you start so small.

Maybe I need to give whataburger another shot. I had them in Arizona when I was a kid and never cared for it, so I've never thought about them.

People are really excited to get them in CO, so perhaps I need to see if I was missing something.

Just had my first Walburger a few weeks ago in Atlantic City. It was ok. I wouldn't rush back but may give it another chance in a different location.

I like Whataburger because they make the burger just the way I like by default. I don't have to say add this, hold that which 30% of the time they will mess up.

We had a Wahlburger near us. It was OK, but I've had better. Still a fan of Five Guys and a local chain here in Mid Michigan - Halo Burger. Halo Burger was a Flint area mainstay for decades. It was just recently bought out and the owner is trying to enter new markets here in Michigan.

I do like In and Out when we go to Vegas, but if I lived there, it would take away the specialness for me. Never had Whataburger.

The chain I wish was here in Mid Michigan was Raising Canes. We have had that twice and enjoyed it both times. Supposedly the first in Michigan will be in Lansing, but I believe there will be more.

Five Guys and Smashburger are some of my favorites. The Colorado burger at Smashburger with the green chiles is delicious. I eat burgers without a bun.

Five Guys for me but there’s a limit to what I will pay for a burger and they are getting close.

Cheers

I think most burger chain burgers are meh.

However, I do like Bobby's (Bobby Flay) burger palace. Sadly, all the ones around me went out of business.

As far as fast food, I always like Culvers and their butter burgers. I am glad there are none by me. I think that Shake Shack is a poor imitation of them.

They put one of the Walburgers in at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach. Too long of a line to get in for me to wait. That and Paula Deens place always have ridiculous lines for something just not that special to me.

I don't get the Paula Deen restaurant thing. I am not into all I can eat. I love unhealthy food, but I would rather have great quality unhealthy food that is well prepared. Give me a great burger and fries at B2Bistro or some other fattening dish that is well prepared.

I just don't see the non-stop turnout of Fried Chicken, meatloaf and whatever else she serves as being quality food items. Just a lot of southern kitsch.

I've had Culver's twice out-of-state, and they're good. They would be part of my burger-chain rotation I they ever expand to our area. I tried Whataburger once many years ago, and it wasn't especially memorable.

There is a Wahlburgers in Palo Alto. The burger is OK but we really liked the sides. Onion strings and sweet potatoe tots are delicious. It doesn't seem that busy in that location.

Agree on Smashburger. Also like Culver's. GoodTimes (CO mostly) is quite good and quite local.

There is a Wahlburgers in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. I have never been in there, but it is always crowded when I go by there across the street from the casino

We've tried In-N-out twice, once in CA and a second time in Vegas and both times we were seriously disappointed. 5 Guys is very good and my kids rave about Smashburger although I never tried.

We've got a Wahlburgers and a Shake shack that opened recently across the street from each other and a 5 Guys a few blocks away. Guess we must be a big area for burgers! If you've never visited a Culver's, be sure to try their frozen custard, too. Great ice cream and they have a flavor of the day that's usually appealing in addition to vanilla.

We have had Wahlburgers around us for probably 4+ years. We tried them twice and decided they were “meh” as far as food quality, and “you’ve got to be kidding me -never again” (or only one more try) when you factor in their price point. Initially they were slammed with crowds and waits. Now they are empty and I can’t even understand how they stay open.

Had a burger at Boston Airport. It was good. Named after the actor Mark Wahlberg. He and his brothers opened up the chain.

I think that the case with a lot of burger chains. We have a local fast casual burger place by us: Burger Brothers (BB). The owners also own 2 or 3 pizza places in the town. IMHO - all mediocre.

However, a plain cheese burger is $10. Many of the other burgers are $11 or $12. A couple are $16. Small fries are $4. Soda's are $3 and Shakes are $8.

I don't get it. A burger and fries are $14. They advertise Burger is made by Pat LaFreida (which I buy a 4pk in Shoprite for $9) and I think the fries are frozen. I can go to B2Bistro (my favorite restaurant) and get a burger that USA Today called one of the top 10 in the US for $17 and it comes with amazing homemade FFs. Yes - I have to pay a tip, but I would still do that anyday vs BB.

Chili's has good burgers. I order without bun and with broccoli, so any burger is basically ruined without the fries.

We bought some Schweid's burger patties and are grilling them tonight with some cheddar cheese and salad. Rick will have friend potatoes. It will be a great meal. Kind of like steak and salad for me because those patties are delicious.

I never heard of Wahlburgers until I saw this thread when it was posted. Then today I walked into Jewel grocery store and saw a big display of refrigerated Wahlburger patties.
