Third Party Resale Fees

While pursuing some eBay auctions, it seems the Activation and Transfer fees have increased. On many of the new listings, they show $617 for the activation fee ($8 increase from $609) and $508 for the transfer fee ($99 increase from $409). I know it’s from eBay listings, but it’s one of the more trustworthy sellers out there. Overall, it’s still a bargain when you consider purchasing directly from HGVC.

I had thought the transfer fee was closer to $500 to begin with. Most of the listings I looked at earlier in the fall seemed to be more in that range if I recall.

Some sellers were including the estoppel fee which was roughly $65. If I remember correctly, this particular seller didn’t list those. I could be wrong, though.

The contracts I signed in November had a Transfer Fee of $425 and a Club Activation Fee of $609.

My purchase states: Club Dues previously paid by the seller are non-transferable to the new owner and therefore the new owner will be required to pay annual Club Dues in the amount of $186 (domestic) or $219 (international), which will be invoiced to the new owner along with a $617 Club Activation Fee per vacation ownership interest (interval). The HGV Club Ownership Change Fee is $429, payable to Hilton Grand Vacations Club by check or credit card.
