Thinking of canceling my June home resort booking at WKORVN

I have a reservation for June 11 which I booked at 12 months out and have to decide real quick if I'm going to rent it out or cancel it and try to rebook at the end of the year. It is an oceanfront so I'm certain it would be easy to rent. If I decide I want to cancel and rebook for us to enjoy will my home ownership still be in play in Dec or will the week turn into star options? It is certainly tough getting an available week even in the Fall but I will need a vacation by then.
I also have star options from a twice cancelled trip for a renter that I am trying to rebook for them. Is the policy still that I can rebook it only 120 days or less ahead? Thanks for your help.

Anything further than 8 months out will be a home reservation. So if you canceled today your would have a week or two of potential home use prior to the fixed weeks at Christmas. You may want to check availability first.

Your Vistana dashboard will show what your Options/Restrictions are. If they were cancelled under the COVID policy, yes you have to make a reservation within 120 days of occupancy. Those options are now valid to use through 12/31/2022.

If I cancel my home reservation for 2021 will the options be restricted? Will they go into the same balance that I have from canceling 2 reservations that I had to cancel in 2020 due to Covid. If I go in to make a reservation will the points from my 2021 home reservation be used or the 2020 Covid cancellations?

They will be restricted (future reservations must be made within 60 days of their start date, the options will be not bankable and will expire 12/31/2021) if you cancel within 60 days of the reservation start date. If you cancel before 60 days they will be returned without restriction. Whenever you make a SO reservation you get to select which options you use and they will show separately so you know which ones are which.

So if you cancel more than 60 days out you can still bank them by 7/1??
