These 5 Places Should Top Your Travel Plans in 2016 - by Nesa Mangal/ Travel Ideas/ Lifestyle/ HouseBeautiful/ housebeautiful.com

"According to the New York Times' much-anticipated annual wanderlust bucket list, that is.

When it comes to traveling, choosing where to go always seems to be the biggest obstacle. There's a whole big world out there — where does one begin?

Travel bugs know that you should start with the New York Times' annual list of the most interesting places to visit — paper just revealed their picks for 52 Places to Go in 2016. It's a beautiful feature, with intoxicating videos of faraway places, and lots of details about the best sites, food, and cities you'll see on the road this year.

We highly recommend you indulge in the full list over your morning coffee this weekend, but for now, take a sneak peek at their top five picks for the year..."

Those 52 places in the second link are some of the most stunning travel (place) photos I've ever seen. Thanks for the link Richard.

Some of them I've been to, some I want to see and some I'll leave for others.;)

Truly, a stunning photo essay or web-zine or whatever it is.
Guess I'll be checking the NYT a bit more often

many spots on the 52 on my 'on-deck' list.

Never been to any of them. Always wanted to go to St. Johns and want to go to as many National Parks as possible. Mexico City- no way.

Malta and France- ok. If I can get to Quebec City for a couple of days this spring I will consider that like France, even though I know it really is not at all-but good enough for me.

I won't be able to get to a lot in the rest of my lifetime. Just won't have the funds, the time or the inclination- hate flying as it is. Will be lucky to go to Italy one time and I am not that passionate about it because it seems from what I read that is is crowded and I hate crowds. But I am saving up for it nonetheless.

I get more excited thinking about seeing more National Parks. (and there is an underwater one in St. Johns!)

Near the sea.
Been to St. John and Bordeaux. Saw Malta on a travel show and wasn't impressed. I should look into it more.

I am up for Iceland.
