There is a Raising Cane's on Maui, and a Chick-Fil-A and a Sonic Drive Inn

I am most excited about Raising Cane's. We have been getting them in the Denver area for a while, but we first ate Raising Cane's on vacation in CA and Texas. Fantastic chicken fingers and fries. This is a surprise. Rick just found out from the Maui News Now website. He was looking at the shipwreck in Honolua Bay. Oh, maybe I should have led with that...

I posted a thread about the yacht.

The Sonic just opened. My wife has a doctors appointment in Kahului in April so we she wanted to stop there afterwards. I'm going to go to my old work during this visit too.

I'd like to go to Raisin Canes but we'll see what the kids want to do.

Sounds like your having a great trip. shaka

The first Raising Cane's we ate at was Kapolei, not far from the Marriott's Ko Olina. Our closest one is 25 miles away in Oakland, CA

We were in Maui during their grand opening of Cane's (Aug 2022) and my daughter got a free T shirt, wristband, key chain, pen and some meal vouchers for a return visit to any location. My husband finally used the meal voucher in Portland last month. I'm so glad we don't have one near us, it would be dangerous!

I keep hearing about Raising Canes, the Oakland one is our closest, but thats 50 miles, and just over an hour away.. bit too far for a special trip...

We have a Chick Fil-A less than 3 miles. I enjoy that occasionally but try to avoid places we have at home while on vacation..

What is "Three places to avoid in Maui if you want to buy local?"

Ghost of Alex Trebek: Correct!

"I'll take 'Hawaii' for $800."

The answer is: A Daily Double!

This thread obviously had nothing to do with buying local. :p
