company called the great getaways is giving a hotel presentation in my town this week. anyone heard of them? the guy said they have been in business 17 years but i cant seem to find any info on them. there is a website, but no reviews that i can find to see if its legit.

They probably want to sell you an over-priced vacation club with no underlying deeded ownership OR let you pay them thousands of dollars to "take your timeshare off your hands." - don't go!

Website was created one year ago so if he told you they have been in business 17 years it looks like that is the first lie.

For good reading, Check out google for a business with a similar name (greatgetaways, not thegreatgetaways). They have had to post on their website that they ARE NOT the vacation club. Seems they have had a lot of people calling them demanding things that were promised to them by this vacation club.
