The Wharf at Hot Springs, AR

What do you think about this resort? There are no current reviews on TUG, but the the ratings average is at 6.87. Reviews in other places are pretty good, but I ALWAYS put tuggers opinions first.

Please advise! Travelling would be out family of 4 (myself, husband, daughter than 15 and son 8). We like active vacations and are partial to water.

Can't speak to resort, but if you like water there is a nice lake nearby. Lake Ouchita also a small (smaller than 6 Flags) amusement park that has a water park within called Magic Springs/Crystal Falls.

We stayed at this resort a few years ago. It was very nice. Not a large resort as I recall.
I was pleasantly surprised how nice the area was. We spent one day having the spa treatment at one of the spa's there. We also took a couple of tours. One on the lake and one around town.
It was a pleasant trip. I don't think there is much to do there for kids. I was there this time of year.

I have it reserved now for the 1st week of July 2009. My kids do not need much, swimming pool and the lake should be fine with them. We will be in Hilton Head 4 weeks prior to this trip, so I was looking for something a little different. It sounds like we should be fine with the Wharf. Thank you Rachel and Lolaker!

Make sure you make the time for yourself for a spa treatment. It was so reasonable and wonderful. I don't remember the name of the place but it is right in the heart of town and very old.
