I can see on MVC there are two resorts, what is the difference, seems to be the same address?

You might do better to ask in the Vistana forum since Los Cabos hasn't been available through Abound that long.

That said, they are separate adjoining resorts that you can walk between. The floorplans are different and most of the comparative reviews I've read prefer Baja.

I was fortunate enough to snag a Jan 2025 reservation there...and will happily let you know what we think of it after we return.

Thank you! Sometimes without visiting its hard to figure out.

I believe that one is a hotel and one is a timeshare.

I don't know if the Westin Los Cabos was built as a hotel, but both the original and new Baja resorts are now separately bookable timeshares. Detailed information about both (including floorplans) can be found on the Vistana website.

Clarification: I believe one has hotel rooms and one has timeshare units.

Hi. I think they both had timeshare units. I stayed at the main resort and it was a timeshare unit. I met people who were staying at Baja Point as we used the pool there a lot (quieter, less people, more personalized attention) and they said they were in timeshare units though bigger than ours. There may be hotel rooms there as well.

Both are full timeshare. The Westin Los Cabos resort was originally a hotel and converted to timeshare after it was heavily damaged by hurricane Odile. I understand all units are timeshare, though they do have studio units. Baja Point was previously an independent timeshare where Vistana took over management. Owners at Baja Point were given the ability to enroll their VOIs into VSN.

The Westin Los Cabos units are in the semi-circular building on the resort map towards the top. All of those units have ocean views and are nice. The Westin Los Cabos Baja Point units are in the group of buildings towards the bottom and consist of 2 and 3 BR LO units that include a 1 BR Premium villa and 1 or 2 hotel units. Those units are a bit nicer than the Westin Los Cabos ones. They were originally in a different timeshare system as Grand Regina Los Cabos, which I believe was with Raintree, but sold out to Westin after a hurricane. There is a separate owners pool open to Vistana owners there as well as an additional one further down the hill. I haven't stayed in the Baja Point ones yet but have a few days booked there next year to try out a 2 BR villa. Those ones are fairly difficult to get but seem to show up in Abound more than in Vistana.

The two are at essentially the same address but have separate check in areas. You can freely use the facilities at either when you stay at one. Westin Los Cabos is included in the Westin Aventuras trust but Baja Point is not.

Thanks for such a detailed response, clarifies my doubts.
